Last Summer I went on a family break to the Greek island of Skiathos. For the past 15 years I have enjoyed a number of holidays in the beautiful islands of Greece, including Zante, Kefalonia, Crete and Rhodes. Greece is one of my most favourite places to be, with it's gorgeous scenery, delicious food and golden sunshine.

Skiathos is a stunning getaway for families looking for a cultured exploration in the Med or for couples seeking tranquil relaxation. There's so much to see and do throughout your visit, from boat excursions across the Aegean sea to discovering the wondrous cove of Larissa beach.

I can't speak enough about the amazing food Skiathos has to offer! There are so many wonderful restaurants and family run tavernas for you to get a true taste of Greece. I would recommend to try local cuisine such as Stifado, Kleftiko, Moussaka and freshly made Tzatziki. 

It was so lovely to be in the crystal clear, blue sea by day and by night strolling in and out of the humble streets of Skiathos town. If you are currently looking for a Greek escape, this is definitely the place.
