Oren has been on my 'go to' list since before lockdown and last week we finally booked ourselves a reservation. We had an intimate spot right outside, perfect for Friday date night. This local gem offers a selection of Mediterranean inspired small plates with many cooked over a charcoal grill.
We began the evening with cocktails and teared into the most delicious stone baked flat bread served with olive oil and fresh tomatoes. Next up was the grilled sweetcorn with peas and fermented yogurt which was surprisingly good and the duck 'prosciutto' was a delectable accompaniment which melted in the mouth.
The Hake kebabs were another delight, served with authentic tzatziki - this dish was succulent and full of flavour. Our main dish was lamb chop with salsa verde and chilli, the meat was soft and the combination of flavours was gorgeous. With a side of grilled potatoes, this was truly a wonderful feast!
