Unfortunately, once again we didn't get the Mediterranean beach holiday we were hoping for this Summer - but our staycation was just what we needed for a bit of R&R.
Our trip began in Loch Lomond, Scotland, we go every year and it's the perfect, tranquil setting to take a breather. We enjoyed drinks and dinner with views of the water and spent our days exploring the surrounding sights and towns. The Falls of Falloch are a hidden gem found 25 minutes West of the Loch and the small village of Luss is a pretty pit stop for a spot of lunch and a wander through the small streets.
Heading south, we spent some time in the Lake District. We stayed at the Belsfield Hotel in a lake view room which was just stunning. We took a drive through Windermere and Ambleside, stopping off at the Claife viewing point and Holker Hall and gardens. Our short getaway ended with champagne at sunset and dinner, bliss.
