Street Food: La Cumbia

Wednesday, 17 February 2021

Any London foodie will know that the best Colombian eats are found in Elephant and Castle. Unfortunately East London doesn't have much to offer and since moving from South of the river, I had been craving a decent empanada for years - that is until I came across La Cumbia.

La Cumbia popped up during Lockdown at Dalston's cocktail bar Pamela's. Colombian chef, Oscar, serves up delicious chicken and beef empanadas, cheese arepas and ceviche everyday from his hatch. Each dish is full of authentic flavour and everything is made with passion. If you're looking for street food that will have you coming back for more, this place does not disappoint (I've got into the habit of stopping by every week...). It's been a hit with locals so you may have to get in line!
