When it comes to skin care, The Body Shop is one of my go to's for affordable, quality products. The Vitamin E range has been a long time favourite of mine, with gorgeous moisturisers and gentle toners, it always keeps my skin feeling smooth and cared for.
I was sent the new Aqua Boost Essence Lotion to try out and I was really excited to add this to my daily routine. The lotion itself is light in consistency, smells lovely and feels wonderful on the skin. I had been using this daily for almost a fortnight but had noticed my skin was breaking out. Small white heads had started appearing all over my face, neck and behind my ears - all the areas I had been applying the lotion. I decided to stop using the product to see if it was the cause and my skin has started to clear since.
I'm rather gutted and quite surprised that my skin reacted so badly to the lotion, I don't know whether my skin was over hydrated but it is recommended to use twice daily. Even though I have chosen not to continue using the lotion, I'd still recommend the Vitamin E selection The Body Shop has to offer.
