Chin-chin! The Searcys Champagne bar has returned!
To celebrate it's 175th year, Searcys unveiled their newly refurbished Champagne bar located in St Pancras International station. The Searcys team hosted a fabulous relaunch party to mark the occasion and I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to join in the festivities.
I adore this location, I have been here for their themed Champagne afternoon tea and I recommend it to anyone looking for a spot of bubbly. It's such a unique setting inside the Victorian architecture of St Pancras station and it's a must visit if you're travelling to/from London for the weekend.
Due to a technical fault, the party itself was relocated a few steps away at the Searcys Brasserie and the turnout was impressive. Guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne (the first of many) as they made their way into the vibrant crowd inside the venue. Throughout the night there was a generous selection of complimentary champagnes, cocktails and wine. As well as delicious canapés from their seafood bar, with delectable delights including salmon with roe, prawn cocktail and white crab served on cornbread.
My fiancée isn't too keen on champers, luckily he was able to sip on Toast Ale - served in a champagne class - of course. It was a really enjoyable evening with real sophistication and I cannot wait for the official re-opening of the Champagne Bar.
