Located beneath The Mondrian Hotel in Shoreditch, BiBo is a stylish new brasserie with an offering of modern tapas dishes with real Andalusian influence. Introduced by Michelin star chef Dani Garcia, BiBo brings authentic Spanish flavours to the table with classic tapas favourites, Paella and oven roasted meats. The restaurant has a warm, vibrant interior with a grand bar in the centre with inviting leather booths for you to sit and dine in comfort.
We started with a selection of classic tapas small plates, including pan con tomate, padron peppers, jamon and cheese croquettes, patatas bravas and the most beautiful Spanish tortilla you ever did see. The cod fritters were absolutely divine served with creamy aioli.
The BiBo grilled avocado was a delightful surprise - served with coriander pesto, feta and cream fraiche - the combination of flavours was sensational. And the pièce de résistance was the Iberian pork presa, beautiful pork roasted to perfection. The meat melts in the mouth and addition of fluffy potatoes and sweet carrots is simply gorgeous.
It may be bold to say but BiBo is up there with my favourite tapas spots. Good food, good sangria and excellent service. Salud!
