St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Facial Scrub - £4.29 (150ml)

St. Ives is a brand that I know I can always put my trust into, I have used their products for quite a few years and I am especially a fan of the facial wipes and scrubs. I received a sample of this particular facial scrub a week or so ago via a give away on the brand's Facebook page. The product has a lovely fruity scent with a creamy yet gritty consistency which initially I thought would act as a great exfoliant and leave my skin smooth and polished. However I was completely horrified to find that my skin had broken out terribly over the week that I had been using this scrub, I had angry under the skin spots forming on the sides of my face and white heads across my chin and T-Zone. I haven't been using any other new products so I can only assume that this product is to blame. I can't figure out why this may have happened, the scrub is oil free and suitable for all skin types. My face is still in the process of clearing up but it has been left with awful blemishes and a little scaring. I am aware that some skincare may cause breakouts before giving results but I didn't want to take my chances so I have stopped using this scrub entirely to avoid further spots developing.

Although my experience with this scrub was a complete disaster I'm not going to knock it down, I have seen a fair amount of positive reviews so it obviously does work for others.
