Caravan
30-35 Drury Ln, London WC2B 5RH
Fellow brunch lovers, listen up! Today, NZ inspired all-day dining spot Caravan, officially opened the doors of it's new restaurant in Covent Garden. The new opening is Caravan's 8th location in London and is the largest, spanning across two floors.
I have been a regular diner of Caravan for years, so naturally I was thrilled when I was invited to their pre-launch weekend to savour a delicious brunch on the house!
The menu includes all time Caravan favourites including baked eggs and the fried jalapeƱo cornbread - IYKYK. We chose several dishes to share, one of which was the Korean style buttermilk fried chicken served on top of a kimchi pancake and it was hands down the best dish of the order. To compliment our plates, we sipped on steamy cups of Caravan's own roasted coffee and a couple of cheeky cocktails. Of course, we had to end with something sweet, and so we opted for the hazelnut chocolate and orange french toast, which admittedly was a little on the dry side but hit the spot. I completely missed the tiramisu (god tier dessert) on the menu, but no doubt I'll be back soon enough to try it!
